Tired of Being Stressed...

Tired of Being Stressed...
Are you stressed out and tired of everything weighing you down? Is life so busy and you just want a moment’s peace? I have been a product of busyness and stressed out for so long, it had become my whole life. Whenever I would go places, and I would work all day, come home, and feed the children, and want to relax, someone calls and needs me to do something else.
I have always wanted to serve others and help whoever needed my help, but, if I’m not taking care of myself, how am I going to help anyone else? People could see the worry and anxiety all over my face as I tried to smile and be there for everyone else. Oftentimes I would get so frustrated because I was not getting enough rest, but whenever someone needed me, “I’m here for you” is where my mind went to.
I started to deal with a lot of pain and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at a very early age of sixteen, and the reason they gave me is because I was not resting enough. They put me on antidepressants and told me I would have to take the medication for the rest of my life. When I heard that, I said no way would I take this medicine forever. Something had to change!
I took it for a while, but, as time went on, I realized unless I began to change things within myself. I read a devotional called “Trusting God Day by Day” by Joyce Meyer, and it said “We cannot expect to keep doing the same thing over and over and get a different result. If you want different results, you have to change what you are doing.”
Living life overworking, feeling burdened down by life’s choices, and getting no relief from the pain you are feeling inside and out must change and overcome those circumstances. One thing I have learned is to calm the storm within me so that I can always live free from turmoil and in peace.
