Grateful

Have you ever felt like you were drowning in life because you had so much to do and never had time for your family? I have wanted to be a good mother to my children, and life keeps getting in the way—until now.

As I began to pray, I started to see how the Lord had blessed me with a wonderful family. While I am having a hard time balancing my life, He shows me that I have a lot to be thankful for. No matter what the pain I may feel, the stress of homework I’m trying to get through, my children running off at the mouth-I’m grateful for the group of blessings in my life that God saw fit to entrust me with.

As I think about that, it makes me feel like I have gifts in my life that I need to take excellent care of. God gave me these blessings, and I need to first give them back to Him for Him to use them as He pleases, and then, I need to nurture them in a way that they grow up to know who they are in Christ. I cannot take for granted any longer the moments I have with my children because I do not know how much longer I have with them, and I must take each precious moment and make them memorable.

I have been stressed out, and I sometimes wanted to send my children away because I had been so tired from the busyness I continued to pile onto myself. Still, God is showing me that time waits for no man, and if I don’t show up in their lives now, they won’t remember the “good times” because there will not be any to remember (tears flowing).

If you’re like me and need to slow down in life, wanting to be more grateful for the blessings God has given you, you need to be a part of my community for workaholic moms needing to calm the storms healing from emotional trauma. We’re here for you! Join here.
